Perpetual Praise was conceptualized by Nadine Blair, Founder and CEO of Allowed to Shine Ministries which is the parent company for: Perpetual Praise, Praise In Da Street, When Ministers Meet To Pray and Singled Out Singles.

The first Perpetual Praise Event was first held on Tuesday, March 5, 2002 at Fellowship Tabernacle on Half Way Tree Road in Kingston, Jamaica. Host Pastor, Rev. Al Miller and the congregation of over 2,000 persons, was joined by hundreds of persons hungry for God.
